Doodle is a 3 year old lab/boxer mix that would love to be a lap dog.  He is 100% house-trained and has the run of the house 100% of the time.  He knows he isn't allowed upstairs or on the furniture.  He has a little trouble staying off the furniture, as other places he has stayed allows it, but always has the guilty look when you catch him.   We do not crate him but he has no problem going into a crate. Doodle knows basic commands such as sit, down, wait and come (usually).  He lives with our 2 dogs and any others that may come for a visit and has no problem with any of them.  They all eat in the same room and he has never shown any food aggression towards them or any of us.  He can be too forward when meeting new dogs, especially on a leash, so we are working on that.  He loves to go for walks/runs and gets very excited when he sees a leash!  He is learning to calm down before he gets to go and remain calm while walking.  Doodle loves kids of all ages and is learning he needs to be careful around the little ones. He will bark to alert you when somebody is near your home but stops as soon as they have walked by or he figures out who they are.  In the time we have had Doodle he has learned so much, proving he wants to please those who love him. Doodle needs somebody who can be the alpha when needed but is willing to give love and snuggle.  He would do best with a fenced area to run (he loves the dog park) or with a family willing to exercise him.  Doodle may not be the perfect dog but he is an amazing one that would love to find his perfect forever home.  Is that you?

Doodle's  adoption fee includes: neuter, rabies vaccination, DHPP vaccination, 4DX heartworm/tick disease test, de-wormer, flea/tick preventive, heart worm preventive, a full veterinary exam, and micro-chip (pre-paid) adoption fee:$225.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
