Zara(Zen) is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever had the honor to foster. The only reason for us not keeping her is how often we travel for work. From the minute I met her she has been sooooo friendly and it is very evident that she is a people dog!

She wants to be around her people all the time; if you get up to go in the kitchen, she's right there with you. You have to go to the bathroom, better believe it she'll come sit in the bathroom until you're done! She is SUCH a cuddle bug and let's you maneuver her into whatever way you want to cuddle for the night, and she'll be there all night.

She LOVES to play with other dogs. We have a black lab mix and they play all the time! She is vocal when she plays so it's quite comical. She does great with kids but can be a bit much for smaller ones as she doesn't know her own size! New locations take more time for her to adapt to than new people in her home. She is not good with cats and SOME small dogs. My friend's small dog got in her face and started a few fights.....my mom's chihuahua kept nipping at her nose and Zara just wanted to play. So, I would say dog specific for small dogs, good with all medium/large dogs.

She is potty trained and likes to be on a schedule. She is kenneled during the day and is great at it. She knows our schedule so much that if I stray from it and let the dogs in from outside and don't leave right away, she is sitting in her kennel looking at me waiting to close the kennel door (so like I said, schedule)! As she is curled up on the couch with me right now, I know this will be one of the hardest foster dogs of ours to say goodbye to once she goes to her forever home.

Zara is by far a great family dog! She will do best in a family that will spend time and play with her. I have no doubts that she will make a great companion to children and other dogs.
