Hi Everyone - I'm Joey! I'm an amazing long haired Dachshund mix that LOVES snuggling my humans! After housing me a couple weeks, my foster parents have determined that I am the perfect adoptee because I satisfy all four checks - potty trained (check!), good with kids (check!), good with dogs (check!), and I don't chew (check!). I am a very mellow guy that really likes to snuggle and sleep. Though my foster parents think I might still be adjusting to all the changes I've experienced moving around so much lately - I might perk up a bit in the next couple weeks once I'm feeling more comfortable. I like sleeping in laps, on feet, and underneath things like beds, tables, chairs you name it! My foster mom thinks it's funny to always see my butt peeking out from underneath furniture. The vet even says I have a more relaxed heart beat than most small dogs, which means I'm just really laid back. I'm quite wonderful on a leash, and off leash as well. I like to follow really close to my people or pack dogs - unless I see a squirrel or rabbit! I do LOVE chasing rabbits and squirrels and birds! That's probably the most excited our rowdy I ever get. I am good in the car (though I prefer the front seat but my foster parents make me stay in the back). The other day I went on a canoe ride which I did awesome with! Hmm, what else? Oh I sneeze, a lot! I even do backwards sneezes sometimes, which sound really funny. My nose is just sensitive to different smells - nothing to worry about, just something guaranteed to make you giggle a lot. My foster parents think I would be a great for apartment, townhome, or condo living. Single family homes too, of course! I would make a wonderful addition to absolutely any type of family, big or small! Won't you consider giving me a place to call home? Fill out an application to meet me!
