Gizmo is the perfect sidekick. He loves adventuring in the car, going on walks, and even visiting the vet.  He is quite friendly with our cat, sometimes they play. He  does well with other dogs, though he stands his ground when they play too rough. He enjoys baths from his great dane mix foster sister. He loves to be with you whenever he can. Gizmo loves belly rubs and getting brushed. Doing his business outside is no problem even in the coldest of weather. Just make sure to get him out when he rolls out of bed in the morning. Gizmo is a picky eater and will squirrel away unfavorable treats. He is a perfect lap dog and will sleep in your bed if you let him. He is kennel trained and currently spends weekdays in his crate while the family is at work and school.

Something you should know about Gizmo is he recently  had his left eye removed. The right eye functions normally. Gizmo has luxating patella in both of his rear legs. This means his kneecaps may pop out of their sockets. Gizmo has been in my care since November and I have yet to see this happen in either leg. I've found he needs a cleaning every 1-2 weeks because of his long hair.  He is small enough he can be bathed in the kitchen sink.  He's okay with kids. He will curl his lip and growl if he is poked or handled roughly so he's better with older children. He currently resides with 6- and 7-year old boys.
