I was a stray who was taken in by a nice Southern woman who fed me and let me sleep in her house at night. We don't know who my mama and papa were so we don't know my breed. There must be some Border in my DNA cause dang, I am so smart! I know how to sit and lay down; I know leave it, and no; and for a former stray I'm pretty darn good on a leash if I do say so myself! The kennel was hard for me at first, but I'll go in with a treat and stay quiet in there now although I may need a reminder now and then. We're still working on come, stay, and wait, but I am treat motivated and easy to please so I know I will get there very soon. I love dogs and would love to have my very own brother or sister, but would probably do fine on my own too. Although new to full-time indoor life I am fully potty trained. I love people and toys but haven't met any kids but Mom thinks I would probably do fine because I'm such a Southern gentleman. I do like to mouth when I play, but Mom is working with me on that too. Hope I can find a forever home soon! Maybe it's yours?

 

Sawyer's  adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, dewormed, Distemper vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, rabies vaccination, neuter,  prepaid microchip and heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $385.00
