Hi, I'm Alex, but more known as Chewy! A lab mix born around 1/2017. I am a sweet, gentle older boy who just wants a family to love on. I am quiet in my kennel, but I probably don't need one as long as I have a bed to lay on. I love all humans - including my foster's 9yr and 5yr olds.

I am good with the two other foster dogs here (Kate and Buddy). I don't care for super active dogs - I mean, I would prefer to cuddle with you and hang out with calmer dogs. My foster mom was told I have met  cats and I want to sniff but after being introduced, I am not interested. My foster mom doesn't have any cats however.

I am house trained and haven't had any accidents since coming into my foster home. I do pull on the leash, as I like to check out all the scents. However, I do know "sit", "kennel", "shake", and "lay down". Just because I'm older doesn't mean I can't have my own family right? You can teach me new tricks as I LOVE food.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $275.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
