Hello! My name is Faith but my foster parents call me Miss Potato or Potato. I'm an older GSD mix that is ready to chill and get all the attention in my new home. I'm pretty laid back and easy going. I am fully housebroken and crate trained. I don't know a command to go into my crate, but if you lead me to it and give me a nudge in, I'll go in without a peep. A treat will help too, but I am also on a diet! My previous family fed me a little too much so I have a few pounds I will need to lose to have a long and happy life. But don't worry, I LOVE going on walks so exercise will not be a problem for me. My foster parents take me on a 1.75 mile walk every day, and I love to jog at times. With proper leash training, I may make a good jogging buddy! I am kept on two leashes for the moment with my harness and martingale collar just to make sure if I shy away from anything my foster dad still has a hold on me. Did I tell you I LOVE being outside?

I love comfy dog beds and being where ever you are. I will paw and whine at you for pets, and if you're sitting on the couch I will stick my head in your lap. I mostly will chill on the floor, but lately, I've started to gain enough confidence to try to get up on the couch with you. I may need a boost, however. I'll probably even lay or sit on your feet sometimes. So far I'm not very fond of stairs, so I will be scared to climb or descend them if it's more than one or two. My foster parents have started to work on this but know that you'll have to keep building up my confidence when it comes to it. I never had them before, so I'm very unsure. Don't leave doors open around me, I love to be outside and sniff everything and will happily escape and wander off.

I ignore cats and am fine around kids (as my prior family had kids). I may shake a little at times due to being nervous or excited, but I will calm down as time goes on and I get used to my new home. I'm not big into playing or chewing right now, I just kinda want to hang out by my people. So I'd be great as an only dog, or with another chill dog that just lets me do my own thing. My foster brother keeps trying to play with me when I just wanna hang out. While I don't mind car rides, I do not like getting into cars. I will become a flat pancake on the ground and you will have to lift me up to get me into the car. You may want a ramp or another person to help lift me if I need to go anywhere. This may change over time when I know you're not going to take me and leave me somewhere.

I have a lot of love to give, and many places I want to snooze, so maybe I am the perfect potato for you!
