Izzy is an example of how rescue can have a positive impact on a dog. Izzy came into rescue extremely timid and scared and has definitely come out of her shell over the past few weeks. This spunky girl loves other dogs, peanut butter, and treats. She’s playful and energetic, typical  of a dog her age and adores a good chew toy. Izzy also loves her morning cuddles and snuggling. She is still very nervous in new situations or around new people. She will need a family who can be patient and understanding with her as she progresses. 

Since Izzy is so timid, she will need an owner willing to continue her leash and kennel training. Izzy’s kennel is her safe space when she’s at a new place, but she prefers to be out with the resident dogs when alone in the house. Izzy does well out of a kennel as long as there are things to keep her busy. Izzy has been exposed to the resident cat and will try to play with her, but will leave her alone when asked. Izzy is extremely quick to catch on and follows the lead of the resident dogs. She will sit when it’s time for food and is learning to stay. Izzy is not housebroken but is learning to use puppy pads by the doors. 

Izzy will make an excellent companion and is looking for a forever home to teach her that humans are loving and safe.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Neuter, prepaid microchip, 4DX (heartworm/tick disease testing) dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
