Rufus is a 2-year-old Greyhound/Whippet mix.  He was very scared and shy at first, but he has warmed up and is a very sweet cuddly boy.  He is skittish with my husband, but we are slowly working on that.  He’s also a calm and lazy boy.  He does not really show any interest in toys but he has his silly moments.  He enjoys his time with his people just laying with them on the couch or chair.  Rufus has especially warmed up to my daughters who are 15 and 12, he will go to bed with them and lay with them all night.  If he either needed to go to the bathroom or a drink he will wake up and get antsy and wake them up.  Rufus will play, for example with my girls, they will put their hands down on the recliner and he will raise his legs up and do the same thing.  He greets you and shows you how happy he is when you are home.  He does nips at the ankles playfully when you get home as he is overly excited.  Still learning with potty training, but he is getting better.  He does good in his kennel.  We try to keep on a schedule with him anytime he’s out of the kennel with going outside.

He does well with a fenced in yard and pretty well on a leash as well.  As far as cats and dogs he likes them both and gets along with them very well.  If there are males in the home, they must have patience with him.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, neuter, prepaid microchip, 4DX (heartworm/tick disease testing), dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $375.00
