Hi! My name is Gidget, I’m a 7 year old Japanese Chin. I am a breeder release so I’m not entirely comfortable with understanding that I don’t live in a cage anymore. I spend most of my days in my foster brother’s (8 year old boy) room. That’s my safe place and I really like it. I love to sit on the couch and hang out with my foster mom. I don’t really run around a play I like to just hang out and cuddle. I am completely puppy pad trained, I will pee outside but going #2 outside hasn’t happened for me. I don’t have any accidents in the house unless you startle me, then I might tinkle a little. I am good with kids, but would prefer older kids who don’t run around the house as much. My 3 year old sister doesn’t understand that and she scares me sometimes.  

I would be a really great companion for an older couple who would prefer an easy dog with minimal maintenance. Or a family with a busy schedule that really wants a dog but would be concerned with the amount of upkeep I would need. I am very easy going, I just like to hang out and relax. Leashes, are not really my thing, I’m trying to learn but it’s super confusing I just like to go my own way, I do enjoy running around my fenced in back yard because it’s super fun!

I do really well in my kennel at night and during the day. But most of the time my foster mom lets me roam around the house during the day and at night because I don’t have accidents. She keeps my kennel door open so I can go in there and nap if I want but my favorite place is under my brothers bed. I would love to find my forever home, I have lots and lots of cuddles to give to the right family!!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, spay, full dental, prepaid microchip, 4DX, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $450.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
