Zorro is a dashingly handsome 5 month old  Shepard Rottie mix. He came to rescue with his two siblings who didn't have any interaction with humans until they were about 4 months old. Because of this, he is very weary of people but we are working with him to try to improve his trust. He likes to be in his crate where he feels safe. That's also where he likes to hoard all of his toys and bones! We are working with him on taking treats without hesitation and we are also working to help him feel more comfortable when humans are present.

Zorro’s hobbies include laying outside in the shade and sitting on his perch at our bay window. He also likes to *try* to catch flies. Zorro would do best in a quite home with no children as he gets skittish when there are sudden movements or loud noises. It took a few days for Zorro to start feeling comfortable interacting with our other foster dog and our resident dog but now that he's gotten used to them, he loves to play and often looks to them as a "guide" for how he should act and behave. It would be nice for him to have another dog companion so he can follow their lead.

Zorro is still learning how to properly walk on a leash so a home with a fenced in backyard would be ideal. He hasn't had a single accident in the house and he is good in his crate during the work day. At nighttime, we've noticed he likes to have a lamp or some kind of light on. Can you say tough guy, or what? With some tlc, lots of patience, and a calm environment, Zorro is a young boy with lots of potential!

Zorro's  adoption fee includes: DHPP vaccination to age, Bordetella vaccination, Rabies vaccination, de-wormer, flea and tick preventative, heartworm preventative, pre-paid microchip, neuter, and a full veterinary exam: $425.00
