Lita is the most amazing dog! She is completely house broke and has been since she arrived to her foster home. We are sure to always take her outside right away when she gets out of her kennel, and if she’s already out of her kennel, she will quietly sit by the door to alert you she needs to go outside. Lita has been a great addition to our family, and we had a hard time deciding if we were going to foster fail with her. She loves kids, dogs and cats - loves everyone and everything! Lita has A LOT of energy and she can be an escape artist. To help keep her safe, she should go to a home with a fenced in yard. Also, Lita will not go #2 on a leash, so a fenced in yard would be beneficial. She will run off at the first chance she gets, but she never goes far. It has proven to be a fun game for her to find ways to escape . She also really wants to get at ALL the bunnies, even the ones through the living room window!  

Lita doesn’t really realize she’s not a small dog, so be prepared for hugs! She will jump on you the second she sees you. We have been working on that and it has gotten better, but she just really loves hugs! Lita also really really loves attention, and she’s not a dog to go unnoticed. She will sit on the floor, or even on the couch (because foster mom lets her) and constantly paw at you to rub on her. One thing to keep in mind about Lita: she needs chew toys! She is still a very young dog and needs to have approved items to chew on.  If not, she may go for your flip flops! However, as long as she has a chew toy, she doesn’t chew on other things. Also, if you are cooking or eating, it is advised to keep her in the kennel as she is a table and counter surfer. She has no shame and will take your dinner right off the counter! Lita also takes a bit of time to adjust to men, but we are not really sure why. She won’t go near them unless foster mom says she is ok. Other than that, she is seriously the SWEETEST girl in the world! She would love an active family who would take her to dog parks, on car rides, and really just about anywhere. 

Lita's adoption fee includes:Full veterinary exam, spay, prepaid microchip, dewormer, Rabies vaccine, Distemper combo vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX, flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $395.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
