The Retrievers is a local, volunteer-based group that works to bring lost dogs and stray dogs to safety. NDLB works with these amazing individuals to take dogs into rescue when their owners cannot be found. Ivory is a dog that came into rescue after she was successfully trapped by this group..  

Ivory had been on the run in a small town in southwestern Minnesota for over two months. No one had been able to catch her and the local police had gotten many phone calls about her. She did not trust humans and would not come to anyone. The Retrievers took on her case and they were able to trap her. Before trapping her, they reached out to NDLB and the rescue agreed to take her in once she was brought to safety.  

Since coming into rescue, Ivory has proven herself to be a very sweet girl and pretty much perfect! She gets along well with other dogs, loves humans of all ages, ignores cats,  and is house trained and crate trained. Ivory is a sweet girl and it’s a wonder as to why she has been on the run for so long. She’d make a great dog for any family and is waiting patiently for her forever family to find her.  Until then, Ivory will continue to love life in the safety and warmth of a loving foster home!

Ivory's adoption fee includes: rabies vaccination, DHPP vaccination, Bordetella vaccination, de-wormer, 4DX heartworm/tick disease test, spay, flea and tick preventive,(seasonal) heartworm preventive (seasonal) pre-paid micro-chip, and a full veterinary exam. Adoption fee:$450.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
