Hi, my name is Jersey I am a breeder release labradoodle. I came to my foster mom’s house at the end of September with my sister. I am around 4 months old, I do not shed, and I am figuring out how to be a puppy. I am working on leash training and potty training. Both are going well. I still sometimes have an accident in the house, but they are getting to be less and less. I am very good on walks, I don’t like to have the leash on my collar, so my foster mom bought me a harness and I like that better. I like to be outside but not by myself. I get very scared if I wonder too far away from my foster family. I am also pretty shy, but I warm up to people pretty quickly. If I get too scared I tend to try and hide. My foster mom is trying to get me use to noises, so I don’t get so scared.   I get along with other dogs big and small. I like to play chase with them. I like kids too, I don’t jump on them because they fall over.  I don’t like to sleep in my crate at night, so my foster mom lets me sleep on the floor in her bedroom with my sister and my foster sisters and brothers.  I do go in my crate when they go to work. I cry for a little bit but then I settle down. I am getting better at knowing that my crate is a safe place that I won't be stuck in all the time. My foster mom leaves the crate open during the day when she is home, so I can go in and nap if I want.   I do like to snuggle on the couch next to my foster mom and dad.  I am pretty calm in the house, I like to chew on bones and play with my stuff animals. My favorite thing to do is chew on a bully stick.
As Jersey’s foster mom I have to say that she is a very good girl. She still has some trust issues when it comes to people. Sandy has never tried to nip or bite me when we play. She likes to push her head as close to you as possible to get attention.  When she first came to us she was afraid to go through doors. We had to carrier her in and out of the house. This has gotten better with going out of the house, but she still is hesitant to come in the house. We no longer carry her but coach her into the house with gentle praise. Jersey is also use to eating when she wants. We leave food out and she eats when she is hungry.  Water is a bit of an issue with her. She will drink excessive amounts of water if it’s left out, so for now we are limiting her water.  This also helps with the potty training.  Overall, I think that Jersey will make someone very happy! The best part is that she sheds very little if any at all.  Please feel free to ask me anything about her if you are interested in her. It is hard to take pictures of her because she likes to be by your side when she is with you. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, rabies vaccine, spay, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $750.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
