Meet  Baxter !   Baxter  came into the rescue as a stray from Kentucky.  He has a handsome face like a dachshund, and long legs like a blood hound!  His coloring is beautiful, however he is still filling in some bald spots from a skin infection.  He loves people, but often playing a bit rough like they are kennel mates.   We are working hard on the appropriate behaviors with human friends.  Learning the rules for play day by day!  He enjoys laying in front of the fireplace, where it’s warm and cozy.   Baxter  loves his beauty sleep in his cozy bed in his kennel, and has not had any potty accidents at night!   He has rang the bell to go outside more than once, but is having daily accidents.    Baxter  is very confident and happy.  He rides well in the car.  Has not had a lot of experience walking on the leash or with kids.

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
