“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.” Quote by Josh Billings | ||||

Frosty is a sweet puppy who loves to snuggle and play. He is around 4 years old. His life started out rough when his first owner abused him and he lost and eye at only a few weeks old. But that has not stopped him from being loving and playful. He had a wonderful home for a few years, but a change in circumstance has brought him back to rescue.
With only 1 eye, he has poor depth perception and can be surprised if something seems to appear in his line of sight. Frosty would thrive best in an environment that is more calm and relaxed with older kids who can understand how to slowly approach him. Fast and jerky movements tend to surprise him, so younger kids may make him more anxious. He would love to have a playmate that has the same high-energy that he has and will sing along with him. He gets along well with other dogs, cats, and even ignores the resident parrot after being directed away. He is very smart and responds well to come and sit. He is fully potty trained and will let you know if he needs to go out.
As with many huskies, he is a lovebug and wants to spend all of his time with his human or playmate. Playing in the fenced yard, at a dog park, or just relaxing next to a buddy. He loves car rides, and tries to get in the navigator seat; he may even try to direct you to the nearest dog park. He is comfortable on a tie out, but would rather run in the deep snow in the fenced yard. Frosty walks nicely on leash and would make a good running partner if someone was to cover his "bad side." It is especially important that he is leashed for walks to prevent him from getting out, as he would not be able to defend himself as well while he is anxious without his person.
Frosty's foster has always had someone home with him since he came back to rescue. And they are slowly re-teaching him about crate training and becoming familiar and comfortable near and in a crate. He does like short brushing sessions, and is more comfortable when you trim his nails from his good eye side so he can see what you are doing.
Frosty's coat is very soft, so you may enjoy petting him as you fall asleep together. He could very well be the snuggle buddy you have been looking for.
