Everyone meet Jazzmine aka Jazzy!  She is a yellow lab mix weighing in at 58 lbs and will be 4 years old in April.

She absolutely loves other playful dogs and has a blast with her foster siblings.  She also does well with kitties, she pretty much ignores them after the initial sniff and greet.

Jazzy loves to snuggle at bedtime, foster mom does let her on the bed but she also likes to sleep on her own bed.  She is a champion napper and will snuggle in after a round of tag with her foster siblings.

Jazzy is nervous around new people but warms up and once she knows you and feels comfortable, she loves you.

Jazzy is house trained and crate trained, she does well in the crate when left alone and overnight, she does now have free roam in the house when her foster parents aren’t home and she does just fine, no issues at all.  She loves to chew on bones and play with her toys.  She is lightning fast and loves to chase tennis balls or anything that you throw really.  She does well in the car, she likes to stick her head out of the window to feel the wind in her hair!

She knows basic commands such as sit and stay, we are working on her leash manners as she likes to pull and is nervous in unfamiliar surroundings so a harness with a leash and a collar with another leash is recommended until she is comfortable and has learned her leash manners.

A little about Jazzy’s background, she was lost from a boarding kennel by escaping the fence before last Christmas and she was on her own for 42 days during the polar vortex this winter until she was rescued.  She was fast and elusive so it took her rescuers over a month to catch her.  She is so smart, she survived the bitter cold and is now thriving and happy to be safe.  She is a very loving and happy girl!  Given her winter on the lamb, Jazzy is a flight risk and her new family will have to make sure to take proper precautions to keep her safe.

She gets her confidence from having another dog to pal around with so Jazzy will definitely need to have another playful dog in her new home to help make her feel comfortable.  Her foster home does not have children so it is unknown at this point how she does with them.   Jazzy is a really sweet and special girl and would love to have an active family with other dogs to call her own.

Jazzmine's adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, spay, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $395.00
