Elsie is ALL puppy energy! She came into rescue without a lot of dog skills but has made huge strides in pretty much every area and is a truly fantastic dog!
Elsie LOVES playing with toys and chewing on bones/rawhides/pig ears/etc. She also loves toys that are hard/soft/bouncy and squeaky. She discovered balls a few weeks ago and thinks they are great, but she is not 100% sure about fetching :)
Elsie is now about 95% potty trained. She does have the occasional accident in the house if the door to the yard is shut and I miss her cues, which are typically running from the front door to the back door and back and forth.
Elsie walk well on her harness and loves going for walks or pretty much anywhere you will take her!
Elsie also LOVES the dog park. We go often and it is one of her favorite places.
She has been to rescue events at breweries, wineries, and got to go "up north" for a weekend recently and loved it! She has interacted with tons of dogs, children and adults and has done well with all. Sometimes little kids that run and scream get her really excited and she might jump or pounce at them - at 25 lbs she isn't a huge dog but when running she can be powerful!
Elsie is very good with other dogs, she has taken a passive role with all dogs she has been around, and would love someone who would be willing to play with her (her foster brother dog is kind of grumpy and not really interested in playing).
Elsie is a medium energy dog - she has a lot of playful puppy style energy right now so a home that has time to walk her, play with her, and help her burn that energy off will be the best fit for her.
Elsie is crate trained, and spends her days when her foster mom is working in her crate. She goes in well with a treat.
Elsie is extremely good in the car, sometimes she will softly whine when you are close to your destination but I think it's more out of excitement than anything else. She recently went on a 4 hour car ride to visit N. MN and she slept about 95% of the time in the backseat!
Elsie seems like a larger dog puppy, but is pretty much full grown at 25 lbs so is a really nice size for any family!
