Meet Lela, a 22 # beagle mix, about 2 years old and a very sweet, confident, affectionate little lady who loves a lap, a good bone to chew on and regular meals. She has a lot of love to give and has her some puppy energy in that she loves to chew, even on her humans, but she is learning fast that we are a “no bite” and she’s learning that rawhides and chew toys are better things to chew. She can be in a kennel/crate without crying but has slept out of it most nights with no problems at all. Her glowing quality is that in spite of arriving in bitter cold and deep snow she hasn’t had a single potty accident!  She has adjusted well to visiting dogs, men and women, and older children, first with cautious curiosity and then trust. She gets along with my two resident dogs and a cat and shows no aggression. I haven’t tried the leash but I think with practice she would love walks and eventually a dog park for her to run off some puppy energy.  She will be a sweet loving addition to any home. 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, rabies vaccination, alter, 4dx, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
