SBF (single brindle female) seeking long term commitment. No fakers. I like long walks or snuggling by the   TV . I'm very laid back. I have 4 grown offspring that are all out of the house. I came here from Kentucky in April 2019. I have had some obstacles to overcome and conquered every one like a true Southern belle.   If you'd like to be interviewed for possible acceptance, please fill out an application.

Note from foster family;

This girl has been a dream foster. Rebecca (we call her Lexi, short for Lexington, Kentucky)  is potty trained, she is an amazing walker, she's a talker. I mean like a 16 year old girl who's really going to try to get her way. She's not much of a player. Meaning that playing fetch or toys with people is just not her thing. But, if you say "walk" or even make her think there's going to be a walk in her near feature she gets very excited. I have never seen a dog so excited to go on walks. Walks are very important for Lexi. Please consider adopting her if you already have a life style that includes or the ability to walk at least 2 times a day. We do about .5 -2 miles each walk 2-3 times a day. She has become accustomed to hanging out at our cabin. Lexi is my only foster I have EVER let off leash. I know I might get in trouble with NDLB because I'm sure this is not allowed but we did this with extreme caution and only after we had her for about 3 months. She pretty much just lays in the sun, eats grass and moves to a shady spot when she gets warm. She loves chasing bugs and the occasional critter so we still keep a close eye on her.

Her only behavior that concerns me is I'm pretty sure she's an escape artist. Might be how she ended up in this situation.  I think she would do best in a laid back household as she take time to warm up to new people.

Lexi kennels without a problem, even when we first got her. She has been with us for a long time now, we don’t kennel her anymore.

She does really well with other dogs but too much peopleing can be stressful for her. She lets you know when she needs a break from a crowd of people.
