Unkana is a 10 month old German shepherd puppy. He is a gentle, sweet, happy, playful, confident, fun, and handsome guy. He is a big boy at 80lbs and should fill out a bit more. He came into rescue skinny and we are working on him gaining weight. He is an active puppy and loves to run around the yard and chase tennis balls. 

Unkana is a typical puppy and has energy in spurts. He will be playing one minute and taking a nap the next. He loves being outside and will watch squirrels in the trees, chew on sticks, or take a nap in the shade. 

He loves other dogs and has a special interest in tiny dogs. He is very gentle when he plays with the little ones. He loves the big ones too and plays appropriately with the different sized dogs he gets to meet. 

He likes to be near his people and will follow them from room to room. He is potty trained and hasn’t had one accident in his foster home. He does well in containment when I’m gone for the day. He has full access to the house during the night and doesn’t get into much trouble. He has some chewing habits, but he’s just a puppy and will learn soon what can and can’t chew. He loves to chews bones or toys and will pick toys out of the box to play with by himself. 

He doesn’t live with kids in his foster home . When he sees kids on walks he wags his tail and shows a happy interest in them.  Due to his gentle and confident nature I’m sure he would do well with kids. 

adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, neuter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $495.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
