Who wants a great family dog?! You don't want to miss this one, folks! Katie Jo is a wonderfully sweet girl. She's playful but gentle and has good manners when it comes to meeting and socializing with other dogs. She absolutely loves little kids too! A boxer/lab mix with her boxer side, I think, being more dominant. Once a stray in Kentucky, she is now living the good life with her foster family in Eden Prairie and just loving every bit of it. She is doing excellent work with her potty training and has picked up basic commands very quickly. She's about two years old and still loves to chew on her toys and rawhides but has been very good about not chewing on things she's not supposed to. However she has been known to take a shoe or sock but hasn't destroyed any yet. She does well walking on a leash and doesn't complain about being in her crate. She currently sleeps in a crate at night at our house but would also be a cuddly little spoon if that's your thing. If I were going to keep her, I would totally let her sleep with me. I've also limited her to one sofa in the house that she's allowed to relax on and she already knows that's the one she can use and stays off the others. She loves to play ball in the back yard and chase and wrestle with the other dogs and going for walks to get her exercise. Settles down easily when we're just chilling in the house. Katie Jo does have some environmental allergies that were making her VERY itchy up here in Minnesota but a simple shot from the vet fixed her right up. P otential forever families will need to monitor this annually/seasonally and seek similar treatment with their own vet so that Katie Jo will continue to thrive and live comfortably.

 

I think Katie Jo is hoping to find a forever family with a fenced in yard and kiddos or other dogs to romp around with but she loves everyone so would do well in any home where she will get lots of attention and exercise.
