Winnie is estimated to be between 3 years-of-age and weighs about 30 pounds. She recently had a litter prior to being transported to Minnesota from Kentucky. Her first night with our family in Minnesota she was a little shy.

One of our three cats decided he didn't like Winnie, probably because she was stealing all the kids attention. We have two boys, ages 9 and 10. They are quite rambunctious, which doesn't seem to phase Winnie in the least. Anyway, Zach, the jealous black kitty likes to hide and jump out hissing trying to scare Winnie as she passes. Winnie just gives Zach a look and runs past to play with our other two dogs.

We have a large Great Dane mix and Great Pyrenees mix, both around 90 pounds, so we gave Winnie the nickname "Little Dog." Lila bothered Winnie trying endlessly to get Winnie to play for about two days while Winnie was being getting accustomed to her new environment. At some point Winnie started playing with Lila and they've been playing ever since! Lila will be very sad to see Winnie go. Bear is older and less playful, but Winnie rouses him to prance about sometimes.

The other two female cats have no problems with Winnie and vice versa. Winnie tries to play with the female cats along with Lila. Winnie and the kids do great together, she even lets them pick her up. At night she jumps into the kid's bed and would sleep with them if she could. Winnie has been following the other dog's lead when it's kennel time and will now go in her kennel when we say "kennel."

Winnie has had absolutely no accidents in the house, which I find unusual for a foster. Winnie is not hyper, nor is she lazy. She is so well-behaved and happy we would adopt her if we had more space. Winnie is an ideal dog for any household and has a great temperament and desire to please; she would be easy to train with a little patience and encouragement.

If you meet Winnie you might fall in love. : ) Come and meet her, if you're ready for some loving!
