Toby's a little guy with a big smile. He is cautious yet curious and loves to know what you're up to. The way he shows his affection is by following you around and curling up by your feet.

 

Toby is a local rescue. He was scheduled to be euthanized as he was showing some reactive behavior with his past owners. The vet thought he deserved a second chance and began to ask rescues to help find him a new home. That's when NDLB brought him into the rescue to assess his behavior and give him some additional training.

 

Since he's been in foster care Toby has been a great little pup. He's met many other dogs and though he may be cautious at first he warms up and gets along fine. Toby does well with older children, listens to them and walks well on a leash. He is working on potty training although he's almost got it down he still has accidents if left inside for long periods of time. He does well in a kennel, he's a bit loud at first but quiets down as everyone else goes to bed. He's also working on being calm when walking around the neighborhood, he loves his people so much he alerts them of every dog or person on the sidewalk. Toby knows some basic commands like sit, down and kennel. 

 

Toby  had a great time at the groomer recently. While getting a bath and haircut, not only did he get a fresh new look he earned a gold star and  was said to be the best behaved pup all day! The groomers couldn't get over his great smile.

 

If you're looking for a small pup, who's over his puppy years and doesn't shed... who will be interested in what you're doing, excited when you come home and will love to curl up by your feet, Toby may be right for you! He'd be great in a home with someone who can be patient with him, give him time to acclimate and let him show his affection on his own time

 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $385.00
