I am so excited to be fostering Finn. He is such a joy to have. He was already potty trained when he came to be fostered in my home and has had no accidents in the house. We are working on sit, stay, down and come. He very much would rather be next to you than anything. He is getting used to being in his kennel when I am at work. I go home at lunch time to let him out. He discovered mirrors and likes to bark at himself. He is so sweet and cute. We have been working on not barking and not reacting to other animals. He now wants to snuggle with my neutered, male, yellow lab. He takes cues from my lab well and does not bother him when he gets growled at. We will need to work on socializing with other people and animals. I just want to give him time to decompress after all the changes. I do not have kids in my home or that come to my home so I do not know how he would be with kids. He is still a puppy and really likes to jump up on you. He seems to want to be picked up and held. I have two cats and Finn is non-reactive to my orange cat, but reacts by barking and growling at my darker colored cat. Finn walks well on a leash. He kind of just follows behind you. He does not like when cars drive by and will move to your other side when a car is coming so that he is as far away from a vehicle as he can get. He does sometimes come to a stop when there is a vehicle especially if it is a louder vehicle. He does not like squeaky toys so much. The squeak scares him, but that could just be because he isn’t used to it yet. I do not know how he would be around the noise from guns if you plan to train him to hunt. This morning when we were out there was a police siren going and he just stopped and listened then looked back at me to see what I was doing, then went on about taking care of his business. Finn is adjusting very well to being in my home.
