Harvey is about 8 months old, 20# Shepherd mix and is just about the sweetest pup I’ve ever met.  He has healthy puppy playfulness, enjoying chew toys, raw hides, zoomies in the fenced in yard, and doing great on potty training after a few confused days during our first week together.  His sweet demeanor has won over my two older, slightly grumpy resident dogs; they sleep together, share my lap, and play tug with toys.  The cat seeks out play with Harvey; they soft bite and tussle several times a day.  He’s slowly learning to sit before getting his meals, although he can’t seem to ever get enough.  He has attempted to chew inappropriately but responds well to uh,uh ! or No!  With a houseful of visitors, he shows no anxiety at all and accepts all laps and touches without fear.  Haven’t had him around young children. He traveled quietly in the car in a kennel, but I haven’t had him for any car rides, or leash walks yet. I think he would love an off leash dog park, or other regular walks since he has a good amount of energy and a gentle spirit.  

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $495.00   

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
