Roxy the Rottie is about 5 years old and weighs about 80 lbs. When she first became a foster, she was a very scared girl because she came from bad living conditions before finding NDLB. Roxy has already made a lot of progress coming out of her shell in her foster home, but she is still very skittish of a lot around her. Roxy was comfortable with her foster’s resident dogs right away, but she is taking her time trusting the humans. We think Roxy would do best in a home with just one larger dog that can take lead and show her the ropes in her new home. She gets spooked when there is a lot going on. Roxy doesn’t bother the resident cat in her foster home, but she should not be around small dogs because she has a hard time respecting their space. Roxy has not been around any kids, so we are unsure of her skills in that area. She has not shown any signs of aggression. Roxy’s new home will require a fenced yard as she likes to take her time outside on her own, especially for the first weeks in her new home. She does pretty good on a leash but tends to pull a little. While getting used to her surroundings, Roxy likes to have access to her kennel so she can get away from everything when she’s feeling overwhelmed. She does great when left alone in her kennel, and that is where she sleeps at night. Roxy hasn’t had any accidents in her foster home and seems to be potty trained if she is let out on a schedule. Roxy is ready for a forever home that is quiet, gentle, patient, and loving!  Roxy’s foster says she does not have a mean bone in her body and is a very sweet and gentle girl!
