If you are looking for a best friend for your whole family, then Tikaani might be the pup for you!  Although she had a rough start and was living outside for some time, there is nothing that she likes more than hanging out with people.  She loves to sit beside you on the couch while you read or watch TV. She also might be found at your feet if you are working at your desk.

She really want to be a good girl, and comes and sits on command. She is also learning to shake.  She is food-motivated, and would be very trainable with treats and praise.  She’s been working hard on potty-training and has learned to hold it until she gets outside most of the time.

Tikaani has done really well with all of the people in our family, including playing tug-of-war and chase with our 8-year-old son.  She also tolerates cats very well. The only thing she seems unsure of is other dogs. She wants to be the alpha, and hasn't had a lot of experience living with other dogs so she would need a patient house mate or she would be fine as an only dog. She has gotten better at this though.

Tikaani sleeps in a crate at night, but would probably love to sleep beside people, if given the chance.  She loves going on walks and riding in the car.  She also enjoys chasing tennis balls and bringing them back in exchange for a treat. 

Tikaani is about a year old and appears to be part German shepherd and part Lab (she eats like a Lab!). She is a very good girl, and would love to find her forever home soon!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $495.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
