Meet Tripp!  He is 15 pounds of goofy love. After a long van ride from Illinois Tripp was welcomed into our back seat and  took another 40 minute car ride to our house.  He did well in the car, and immediately was comfortable sitting in our laps. Tripp is sweet and loving and loves to get belly rubs and is a goofy guy who will even sleep on his back.  He doesn’t like to be in a kennel, but only whined and I am sure would adapt to using it if it was needed.

Tripp is doing pretty well with potty training, with frequent outdoor visits.  He loves to explore in our fenced in back yard and is interested in the chipmunks and squirrels and can get distracted from his potty duties.  He needs to be out frequently and  reminded to do his business.  We have back yard chickens, and Tripp met them and didn’t really care what they were doing and was more interested in their food and water…. If the chickens get jumpy he thinks they maybe want to play.

Tripp met our cat and was not very interested, he remained calm and friendly. He was nervous when first meeting our resident dog, a 60 pound Bully mix, but has warmed up to her and they have been caught playing and running around in the yard together.  We have older kids and he was happy to meet them, take treats and follows us around the house keeping track of everything going on.

Tripp is a great eater, not picky and loves to sit for treats, hopefully this will help with further training.  Tripp loves to snuggle and will take to new people quickly.  He is a little bit of trouble with his daring exploring and will gladly get on the dining room table if you leave a chair out.  He walks pretty well on a leash but is very easily distracted by all the smells and noises in the neighborhood.

Tripp is a good sleeper after the first night, stays in bed for 8 hours.  He gets spurts of energy in the day and balances that with plenty of naps.  He likes chewing on toys, playing in the snow and cuddling with any available lap.

Due to the stay at home order, he hasn’t been alone yet, but will like to have another dog companion or something else to keep him busy when left alone.   He will make a great addition to your family, bringing his antics and love straight to your heart.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $550.00
