Hi guys I’m Leia! I am a young husky. I am the sweetest husky around! I am snuggly...like so snuggly!! Yet I love playing too! I am the perfect mix of both worlds. I am a fantastic playmate for other dogs. I’m extremely submissive and understand cues from other dogs.

I am potty trained, kennel trained, and do pretty well on a leash. I like to pull when I get excited but am very good at taking direction. In true husky fashion I enjoy digging holes when outside...even after being exercised. Sorry...but I really like to lay in them. I’m not a huge whiner! I occasionally let out a typical husky woo but that’s when I know you’re taking me outside, feeding me, or doing something else that I know is exciting.

I am good with kids but will need to be taught to not knock into them. When I realize that they are there I’m careful but again, I get lost in excitement and forget that they exist.

I truly want love and praise from my people. Their affection means everything to me.

The rescue was told that I have been medicated for separation anxiety in the past but my foster family doesn’t see any signs of that. I haven’t been destructive or crazy...but I’ve always been around other dogs in their home. So they think I’d need a home with other dogs and/or someone who is prepared to exercise with me so that I don’t have too much energy that could create separation anxiety looking behaviors.
