Meet Peggy, she is a young sassy shih tzu. Peggy came from a home with many dogs and likes to see our big neighbor dog. She is very young and working on potty training outside but does understand the potty pad. Kennels and gates are new to her and she does not enjoy being confined. She is happiest when next to her human. She sleeps throughout the night, and for a good portion of the day. She likes to romp around the house and she is starting to learn that she has toys to play with. She can walk alright on a leash. The great outdoors seems very new to her but we are becoming more brave each day. Car rides are great. She will sit calmly in someone’s lap and typically fall asleep. Peggy's energy level is moderate to low. Each day she comes out of her shell a bit more and is more playful and spunky. She loves to snuggle up with you and takes up very little space. I like to call her my pocket pup for how tiny she is and small she curls up. Peggy has not been left alone much due to covid. She would love to be a part of a pack, human or animal, doesn’t matter to her. For such a young girl she is very sweet calm and not a chewer! Peggy is such a sweet girl with so much love and snuggles to give. She is looking for a forever home that can fatten her up with love, affection and treats. 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $575.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
