Irene, is a 8 week old, petite 6lb, lab mix. She arrived in Minnesota after a long journey from Kentucky on May 2. Her color is light tan, with cute white paws, and beautiful hazel green eyes. If there was one word to describe her it would be precious. She is a typical puppy, and her routine is consistent; eat, play, sleep. She loves food and is a great eater. She loves to play with her sister Chloe, our four-year-old lab, and our children. She likes to play tug, will chase a ball, run, eat a bone, and wrestle. She is not in love with her collar and would prefer to eat the leash versus go on a walk, but each day is getting better. She loves to cuddle and will snuggle in our lap when she is sleepy or lay as close as possible to her sister. She is not fully potty trained but with the nice Minnesota weather it has been easy to be outside and she has had very few accidents in doors. In the brief time we have known her, she is ok with the kennel, but would prefer to nap on the couch or sleep on a bed. She has already slept through the night and loves a good morning, afternoon, and pre bedtime nap! With distant learning, and less hours working, it has been easy for our family to be at home around the clock and give exactly what Irene needs, a lot of attention. Irene would do well with a family that has time to play with her, cuddle with her, and give her lot of attention.

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
