“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.” Quote by Josh Billings | ||||

This is Leo the havanese, he is about 11 pounds and 2 feet tall and light brown and white in color. He is a great little laid-back dog, perfect for a smaller home/townhouse/condo. His breed will require grooming at least every three months. Leo is crate trained and will stay in his crate quietly while you need to work or go shopping and will even sleep in it at night. He also will not relive himself in the crate and does well with a morning and night routine to relieve himself. I believe Leo will do VERY well with a small family or can be a GREAT pet companion for one person. He does fantastic with one-on-one time with us and loves the attention. He does great with another dog and a cat (we have “resident” animals a multi-poo and a kitty). Leo is leash trained and really enjoys short walks around the neighborhood. I say short walks because he likes to stop and take it all in while looking around and relieving himself. He also enjoys saying hello to other big or small dogs on the street. Leo also does not need a big yard or fenced yard; he will stay close by your side and loves to be carried around the house. He does very well on just a tie out in our back yard, we also let him outside often and he stares out the window. Leo is missing one eye, but it does not bother him. Things Leo does not like are dog treats and a neck collar we have bought him many treats and he will raise a nose at them. He will require a harness instead of a neck collar. Dogs treats have been changed to popcorn and he loves it. Bad things about Leo: Nothing really, he is a very picky eater and likes a wet and dry food combo but have noticed he is an attention hog. I am unsure of how he would do with young kids but loves to follow my 14-year-old around. I believe he might get startled with young kids under 10 if they were to grab him suddenly and pick him up. Otherwise, Leo is the perfect dog for a single person, or a couple or a small family that will shower him with attention.
