PeeWee  the Pom is about 9 years old and   weighs   about  12lbs .  She is the sweetest little senior gal!
As soon as she got to her foster home, she was all about being around the humans.
PeeWee is definitely a velcro dog and attaches to one person in the house. For her current foster home it’s the woman in the house. She sticks around her people when both inside and outside, and loves to sit on laps!
PeeWee gets along fine with other dogs, but prefers to be the only one.  She has shown some food aggression and jealousy toward other dogs.
PeeWee hasn’t shown much interest in the resident cat, and she basically ignores it.
PeeWee doesn’t mind older children if they respect her space. She even goes to them for pets sometimes!
PeeWee does well on a leash, and rides great in the car! In the car, she likes to be in her kennel or on someone’s lap.
PeeWee’s balance and leg strength was a little unstable when arriving at her foster home, which was probably from not getting outside of her kennel much at her old home. She is walking faster now, and is getting better with stairs, although they still scare her a bit.
We are still working on potty training with her, but she seems to understand it more than before.
We   think PeeWee would do best in a home with older children, or even a one person or adult only home.
She has shown some signs of separation anxiety as she doesn’t like going outside alone, or being in her kennel in an empty room. She does well in her kennel when she can see her people, so she likes to sleep in her foster’s bedroom. PeeWee would probably love to sleep in bed with you, but she doesn’t at her foster’s since she is not quite potty trained yet.
PeeWee is a very laid back and loving girl. She is ready for a forever home that is quiet, gentle, and loving!
