Hi my name is Perdita (purdy) I was named after the momma in 101 Dalmatians. I was released by a breeder after they decided to be finished with me. I am not very trusting at first but I love food and warm up very very quickly to those who give me treats and love. I am potty trained on a schedule. I still will have accidents in the home if not closely watched... I’m just not used to having to wait to go potty. I am not a fan of tie outs and will not be ok with being left outside alone on one. My foster family doesn’t have a fenced yard but they think that the ability to walk around the yard freely would be extremely helpful to me. However, the fence isn’t a requirement because I have gotten used to being out on a leash! Walks are still very scary to me. I will need to trust you before we can go on them. I’ll hide behind you when things get scary. Bringing treats on the walk helps keep me distracted. I do not like other big dogs. I wasn’t a fan of the small dog in my fosters home at first but he grew on me. Now we can be together with no issues. Even though I've proven that I can be around super small dogs I will need slow introductions. I know I’ve said that I love food but I really love food. I require a fancy bowl called a slow feeder to keep me from eating too fast. They’re super inexpensive which is awesome! I am great with people of all ages! My foster mom calls me a a super glue dog because I’m soooo stuck to her side. If I’m not on top of her.... well... I’m always on top of her so.
I am very excited to find a family who can continue to help me heal and learn how to get passed my past.
