Fiona, aka Mama Fi, FiFi, Ona, is the sweetest girl you'll meet this side of the Mississippi! She has the sweetest demeanor and is a pretty quiet dog, except for her tender snoring. Fiona came into rescue as a breeder release. As a result, she's not quite sure how to navigate this world as a dog. Fiona likely spent her whole life in a kennel so everything is new to her. She’s curious but wary. It has taken her a few days to feel safe walking up to her foster moms for pets. She will need calm humans with the patience to let her step out of her shell a little bit each day. Fiona is being fostered with a small senior resident dog, two resident cats, and a small foster puppy and is nonreactive with all of them. Even when the puppy bounces all over her! Her safe space is her kennel; however, she prefers to let herself in and out. She isn’t  house-trained  yet, but she has minimal accidents if she’s taken out regularly, and zero accidents in her kennel. Fiona is very respectful of our home and has never been destructive. She does well on a leash and does not pull at all. She would do well in a home that has a fenced-in yard as well as a confident dog that can show her all the joys that life has to offer her. Fiona does fine with adults, is a bit weary of loud and unpredictable children and has not met other large dogs while in rescue.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, full dental, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $295.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
