Tori is a delightful little personality and it is so much fun to see her grow and change as she learns about how to be a family dog.  

Tori is not yet house trained, but is making progress. Mostly. She is working on her kennel training.  It is her safe space and she enjoys dragging her chew toys into it and taking naps in there.  She sleeps in her kennel at night, but also does not like to fall asleep alone.  Yet.  And does need to get up once in the night, then needs company for a few minutes to settle back into her kennel.  

Tori LOVES our kids!  She prefers to follow them around than to follow the adults around.  She very much wants to be with the family and can get a little vocal when we leave her in our kitchen alone.  I suspect that once she is house trained this will not be an issue as much because she can follow you around the house.  “She WILL follow you around the house,” says the 12 year old.  She is definitely a “people” dog!  She enjoys cuddling or resting very close to her people.  Tori is great with our big dog, slightly submissive and very playful. We don’t have cats, so cannot speak to that.


We have not had a chance to take Tori out on a leash yet, but loves the outdoors, so I suspect she will enjoy walks. Tori has had one experience in a car with us, and she was content to cuddle in the 9 year old’s lap. 

So far Tori has a typical puppy energy level. She likes to play play play for a while, then naps for long periods.  She occasionally thinks that play time is in the middle of the night, so we are working on a schedule with her.  Kinda like when our kids were infants, right?

Tori enjoys chewing on things (Hello, PUPPY!), chasing stuff, playing with people and dogs.  She loves being outside.  Like, really loves it. She enjoys hiding out under plants.  So if you have a garden that you love, you will either have to work to teach her boundaries or put a fence around the delicate plants.

She is learning and loving, and you should come meet her.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, 4DX, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $550.00
