Hi, I’m Inga and I was born approximately 7/2014. I’ve had a rough life so far. I was used purely for breeding and was not granted attention or affection. Lucky for me, I was picked up my rescue in mid July. I’m slowly learning what it means to be a dog and that people aren’t so scary.
I like to follow my foster mom around the yard and sit down a few feet away and watch her. I will come up and sniff her hand and give a little lick and then I run a couple feet away to watch again. I like people and I wag my tail when they talk to me but I don’t run up to them yet. I’m still scared and am taking my time to find out if I can trust them. My tongue hangs out of my mouth a lot which might be from having really bad teeth. I had to get all my teeth removed so I eat only soft food for now. I am so much more comfortable without those pesky teeth.
I love exploring the yard and sniffing all the plants and the other dogs. The big dogs in my foster home try to play with me sometimes but I haven’t figured out if that’s a good thing yet. I get more excited when I meet other dogs close to my size. I love my sister Olga and seek her out for affection and security. We take turns licking each other and love to snuggle. We’ve lived a rough life together and having her near me, makes me feel safe. This being said, WE ARE A BONDED PAIR - NEED TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER!
I’m pretty mellow and spend a lot of my time napping and basking in the sun or shade. I’m not picky about where I nap, but I prefer to nap somewhere near you.
Sometimes my foster mom needs to pick me up to take me somewhere, I lay down and submissively roll over. This makes it really easy for her to carry me. I usually go in and out of the house with the other dogs so she doesn’t have to pick me up often. I usually will follow My foster mom outside or inside when she asks me to,
I’m pretty quiet but will bark in the morning when I have to go outside to use nature’s facilities or when I want to come back inside. For the most part, I like to use the outdoor bathroom but have a couple accidents from time to time. It’s my first time in a house, so I’m still learning. Sometimes I bark when the other dogs are running full speed or playing loudly.
I am not so sure about these leashes. They scared me the first time I had one on. My foster mom is waiting for me to get more comfortable before we try that again.
