Hi! I'm Cecilia! I am an 18 pound King Charles Spaniel who was born approximately 1/2015. My crate is my happy place and familiar to me, I prefer to sleep in there. I'm really good at snoring and I grunt like a pig when you pick me up. Don't let that fool you,  I do like to be carried around!  I've never had an accident in my crate or in the house. I prefer to take my time and do my business in a fenced in yard though instead of on my leash. I'm on a schedule and go outside often but choose to hold it up to 12 hours.  At this point I prefer not to have an audience for potty time or meal time, but I'm learning what it's like to have people around watching me do things. I do like to eat though,  although bowls are still a little scary.   I've also discovered if I sit, I get treats.  I'm not quite sure what to do in a house yet with blankets, toys and furniture, but I'm figuring it out. I don't really like slippery floors though because I slide around, so rugs and carpet are helpful for me. My foster mom taught me how to go up the stairs, but I prefer to have her carry me down for now, they're pretty steep! She's also teaching me how to be a lap dog and snuggle, which I think I'll like, but right now I get too warm!  I'm not a fan of belly rubs, but I really like my ears and chin scratched and to wag my tail when I see you enter the room. I'm very quiet and only grunt,  snore and give one tiny woof when I'm feeling left out of what the other dogs my foster mom has are doing. I've been around my foster moms other dogs and I get along with everyone. I'm not sure how to play yet though, but we all hang out in the yard together just fine and go on walks together.  I walk well on a leash, although I'm not used to a lot of exercise yet so I like to take my walks slow, foster mom says walks will be easier when I loose a couple of pounds and I won't get tired so quick! On my walks I meet the neighborhood kids and I like it when they talk to me and pet me nicely. My foster mom doesn't have cats, but I've seen cats,  squirrels and bunnies on my walks and I don't get too excited.  I get along well with people even though I'm a little shy at first.  My foster mom groomed me and I was really good for that, so now I look really pretty! I'm so excited not to spend my life in a cage being a momma anymore.  I'm really looking forward to finding my new family so I can continue to learn new things!
