Barney is a German Shepherd/Hound mix born approximately 5/22/20, and is a very sweet and goofy puppy. A natural model. Very curious and a little clumsy, as expected for a puppy- best with children over the age of 6 or children that are dog-savvy as he still has sharp puppy teeth. He will follow you room to room, and does not like to be left alone. He does well in a kennel in the same room, but does not like being left alone in another room. We keep our older dog in the same room as his with him when he’s kenneled, which seems to help a little. 

Barney is not potty trained yet, but is showing promise with potty pads and keeping a schedule! We use belly bands to help keep the messes minimal. He does fine on a lead, we haven’t practiced much with formal walks. 

As long as he can stick by you, Barney will be happy doing whatever! He goes between being zonked out on a cushion to bouncing around and getting into things. Very curious pup, and vocal when he wants something. Barney does great with other dogs, and follows our male lab everywhere, loves to play. Barney loves squeaky toys and rawhide chews. He also enjoys playing tug with his foster brother and we’re introducing him to the pool tomorrow!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $550.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
