Bailey is a curious, sweet male Shih Tzu, born approximately 7/2011, who always wants to be by your side and is up for any adventure.  He loves going for walks, playing with toys, and snuggling.  Bailey likes chewing on bones and chasing his tail. He does great on a leash during walks.  He consistently looks forward to the next adventure and does not act his age.    If an adventure does not include him, he will let you know you “forgot” about him by whining and barking.  Bailey interacts well with other dogs & people, and looks forward to meeting new “friends”.  He does well with potty training, but needs an attentive person to keep him on track and notice when he needs to go outside.  Bailey marks his territory a great deal outside and sometimes in the house.  He was only recently neutered which may be the reason he is marking.  Supervision helps with decreasing the amount of marking, which is easy because he is always by your side.  Bailey does well in his kennel, but does not like to be left alone.  He sleeps well at night well as long as his kennel is beside his person’s bed.  The first couple of nights he needed to be sung to sleep. 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , dental, flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:$295.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
