Raven is 1-year old lab mix. She is a friendly, fun-loving gal. She wants to play, play, play, and when she's not playing, she likes to keep her mind active with food games. She likes naps too, of course--who doesn't like naps. She is potty trained, leash trained, and obedience trained (including with the use of hand commands)! She likes to play with big dogs and small dogs and is good about tailoring her play style to her playmate's size but sometimes she's having so much fun she has trouble reading when her friends are getting a little tired. She just doesn't understand that others don't have as much energy as she does! She prefers to be called Ruby, a name bestowed upon her by some humans who loved her very much but were, unfortunately, unable to keep her.  Some of her favorite things in life are ice cubes, walks (she's great on a leash), Hanging out in her kiddie pool, and--you guessed it--playing. She is protective of her people and her home and she takes intruders very seriously. Because of this, she'd do better in a home where she can get proper introductions to guests. Once her humans say hello she is thrilled to have people there to give her all the love! If you have a friend for her to play with all the better, but she could be happy as an only dog too. She occasionally gets a little protective of her treats when other dogs try to take them (I don't like others taking my food either) and will steal any food that she sees (is it really stealing if it's sitting right there in front of you?), so she and other pets would have to be separated during meal and treat times. She also likes to express her enthusiasm, while playing, vocally...and has a good pair of lungs on her...so she'd be better with no shared walls. If you're looking for a gal to accompany you on hikes, a playmate to tucker out your other dog, and a sweet, happy-go-lucky girl, Raven (Ruby!) is the girl for you!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
