Katrina is a sweet and love-able terrier mix mutt born approx. 2/28/2020!  “Mom, when I first saw her, she sort of looked like a stray, but once we got to know her, she is the cutest dog EVER.”   Take a look at the cool variety of colors in her coat!  Her wiry coat changes colors right at her “waist.”

Katrina is almost completely house trained and has not had an accident in our house since her first day with us.  Her kennel is a safe space for her to rest during the day (occasionally), and she is comfortable staying in it most nights.  When we have needed her to chill out we put her in her kennel and she settles in pretty quickly.

Katrina loves our 9 and 12 year old children!  She is still young enough that she will sometimes change from licking their hands to nibbling.  She loves it when we tickle her chest and will lay down for chest rubs.  She is happy to cuddle up next to her humans for a rest, which the kids love!
She really enjoys playing with our resident dog and seems pretty easy going.  She would do great with another dog in the house, but will probably be happy with just a human “pack” as well.  We do not have a cat so cannot speak to if she would get along with one.

Katrina is a great mix of puppy playfulness and older dog ability to calm down!  We feel lucky to have her.  She wants to be with the humans and when we barricade her into the kitchen she gets a little whiny, but is learning that she is NOT abandoned and has started settling down on her bed or in her kennel.

She IS still a puppy, and we notice that she loves to chew on things, try to find out what is on the counter, and tries to climb on top of her kennel where we keep her food.  She will need some boundaries set, just like any dog.

We do not know how she does on a leash yet.  She seems to ride in a car just fine.

Katrina loves playing tug, chasing a ball around the kitchen, running around the back yard with us, and chewing on her “foster sister” (our resident dog).  She loves leaning into our laps as we sit on the floor with her and adores gentle belly rubs.

She is a funny looking mutt, and completely loveable! Are you looking for a second dog for your household? She would be great!  Are you looking for a companion for yourself who will make you laugh and spend time with you?  She would fit that bill as well.  Come meet her!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:$495.00
