This lovable fellow is Zeus. He is a lab/shepherd mix born approx 4/18/18. Zeus is transitioning from being an outdoor roamer to being a house pet wonderfully. He is the definition of a sweetie, and melts hearts with the cutest smile when his big head is getting scratched. He isn’t crate trained but has done very well staying in the guest bedroom while his foster parents are out of the house. Zeus waits to go to the bathroom outside. He is very happy hanging around and napping during a lot of the day at his humans’ feet or nearby, but also needs a good long walk every day...at least! He’s very interested in his tennis ball, so fetch should be a ton of fun. His foster mom and dad get a kick out of the way the tennis ball totally disappears in his cavernous mouth. He gets kind of pushy or "mouthy" when asking for cuddles but hasn’t shown any Zeus-like anger or fury. Instead, he embodies more of the regal and sturdy aspects of his name. Speaking of names, he doesn’t quite know his yet. His foster mom and dad are working on that, as well as refining some manners. There's a lot to learn about living inside! He does know “sit,” is working on "stay," and is food-motivated to learn more when he’s indoors.  

Outdoors, he’s a different guy. While still calm and lovable, he becomes very busy investigating smells and marking his territory, which means pulling on the leash. In this mode, he isn’t food motivated in the least. Brief encounters with other dogs on walks have gone well, though.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00
