Hi! My name is Eliza. I am a one to two-year-old Beagle from Kentucky. I was found as a stray and am loving this house living stuff. My foster family says I am the most wonderful Beagle they have ever met. I love to snuggle and give kisses and have my belly rubbed. I love my two legged 12-year-old foster brother so much. When he leaves, I am so sad and whine and whimper. My foster mom says that that is the only time she has heard me make a noise. I never bark or howl…I watch people and dogs walk by the house and never make a noise. Speaking of dogs and people. I get along with other dogs (not sure about cats). My four-legged foster brother is old and crabby, so I just leave him alone and play with all the dogs toys I want. As for people, I love my foster mom and 12-year-old foster brother but am still getting used to men. My foster dad and 17-year-old foster brother make me a little nervous, but I am getting better. With time, belly rubs and treats I will get past this. I let them pet me and will sit with them. I am very timid and tentative but love belly rubs and scratches. Because of my unknown past it might be better if I live with a family that has older, patient children because I get scared easily. I am working on house training and have only had a couple of accidents. I sleep in my kennel all night and go in there when my foster family leaves. I am learning to walk on a leash…I love all the smells out there! I think I would do best in a yard with a fence. I get the zummies and run like crazy through the back yard. This snow is new to me and I love it. I pick up chunks of it and run all over the place. I am still temped to run out of the yard…what can I say…I was a stray. My foster mom says this will get better with time as I get used to being a house dog. I like to have lots of things to chew on that will not get me in trouble, so my foster family has tons of dog toys laying around. Shoes have good smells and sometimes I try to walk off with one. My family says no to me firmly and I usually listen right away. Just give me something else to chew on or play a game of tug-o-war and I will be fine.  I have a lot of energy and love to play so would love to be with a family that has time to walk me and play with me. Did my foster mom mention how much I like to snuggle? Because I do…it’s my favorite!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $575.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
