Meet the beautiful River! River has adorable mix of colorings. His feet and legs are white with spots, his body is black, and his face is a mix of browns and blacks. He has a soft coat which is perfect for cuddling. Oh and I can't forget about those ears! They are so cute and floppy.

River is interested in new people and has been good with children in his foster home (all 5 years and older). He likes cuddle time and being the usual playful puppy. River is starting to play with the his resident canine brothers and sister and is getting more confident every day in exploring new things with them.  His is a typical hound breed with his sniffer always on the ground searching for new scents.  He is eager to see and experience what is happening around him but is a bit timid with his follow-through to join in.  He will grow more confident with time and a family that can help reassure him. 

River is working on potty-training and has been good about going outside. A frequent schedule is key to his success. His foster family is currently limiting his interaction with carpeted spaces while indoors. When he can’t be watched closely he plays in an indoor doggy play yard in the kitchen area.  River sleeps quietly in a kennel at night in his foster moms bedroom and keeps it clean.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $675.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
