Well hello there! My name is Charlie!

I’m a curious puppy with quite a bit of spunk and lots of smarts! I learned my potty training pretty quickly and now ring a set of bells to let my humans know I need to do my business. Sleeping in my crate at night is no problem and I've been sleeping through the night. Right now I sleep in my foster parent’s bedroom. I am gaining confidence with being left alone and usually calm down after a little bit. Car rides are something I'm working on - short trips are just fine but longer ones I'm getting used to so my tummy doesn't get upset. I’m a serious smarty pants and want someone who can teach me new things! My humans have me doing sit, down, come, paw, and I'm working on roll over - that one is really cool! Zooming after a tennis balls is sooo fun! I can run in circles and chase my toys outside to get out my wiggles! I’m a herding mix and it definitely shows. My foster mom and dad have been working on my herding habits so I don’t go after their ankles (they’re just so enticing!). I’ve also been really improving on learning not to nip and chew on my humans (they’re so tasty!). Sometimes I just get a bit too excited when playing and we have to take a break to calm down. I really like to stay busy but do nap since I’m a growing boy. I'm the most snuggly when sleepy! I’m not quite sure how I am with other dogs yet as I haven’t met many but I usually watch them walk by without batting an eye. I’d probably do best without kiddos right now as I’m still learning to control excitement. The biggest benefit is if I can have a job – I like learning and keeping my mind busy!! If you’ve got space for me to run, explore, and play games I’d be in heaven!
