Hi.  My name is  Franklin, they call me Frankie for short.  I'm about 1-year old and 60 pounds, but pretty lean looking.  I don't think I will get much bigger but might fill out more. I will bark if someone comes to the door and if I hear strange, loud noises.  Oh, and sometimes I will talk back.  I'm completely potty trained and if you are not paying attention to me when I go to the door, I will let out a little bark to get your attention!  I sleep all night – my preference is to sleep with my human on the bed but I will sleep on the rug by the bed.  When I am on the bed, I curl up at the foot of it and don't move much until my human starts to get up.  I don’t especially like my crate.  They keep trying to teach me that it is a safe space.  There are times that I will go in it and lie down all by myself and when they tell me to  kennel up I know what that means and I go in, but try to get right back out.  I do like the treats that they give me when they tell me to kennel up though.    I like tennis balls and Kongs and ropes to tug and chew on.  I really like the toys that treats are put  in and I have to work to get them out!   I have lived with cats in the past and I was fine with them then.  I love going for walks and I'm getting better each and every day walking on the leash - sometimes heeling and sometimes just a loose leash so I can do lots of smelling as I am living out in the country right now and there are lots of different smells out here.  I know how to sit and lie down.  I do know the word "come" - most of the time.  I also am working on learning the word "stay ."  I'm working on not jumping up on my people when I get excited.  I am not food aggressive, at least when it comes to my people taking my food - not sure how I will be with another dog but in the past I was fine.  I am good on car rides.  And just one more thing - I don't like being alone.  I love having my people around!  

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
