Hi, I am Sapphire. I used to live with another family, but they couldn’t keep me so now I am with my foster mom.  I used to live with other dogs and kids, I like meeting other dogs on walks but have not been around kids since staying here. A few years ago, I was hit by a truck you would not know it though. Sounds like my only issue is when I am outside for too long my left hip can bother me otherwise, I have a clean bill of health!

As a 4-year-old I am very smart! I am house trained and have not had any accidents at my new house.  We go out to potty and walk 3 – 4 times a day. I know my name, sit, come, down, kennel, and that no means no. If you set clear boundaries with me I will respect them only a few no’s and I will not try it again.  I am working on my leash skills but it's so hard when there is so much to explore & sniff.  When I get excited my whole-body wags, my foster mom says I am kind of a “spaz”, even when I am very excited just saying my name, I will sit for you.  

I like my kennel and can stay in there for quite a while. My Foster mom works at home so mostly I follow her around or take naps by her, but she has left me in the kennel for 5 hours with no issues. I do like to play fetch the balls that bounce are my favorite! I will jump up to catch them. I bring the ball back unless I need a break then I take my ball with me to bed.

Looking for a snuggle partner that will feed me lots of treats.
