Tinsel is a super affectionate, playful 40-pound Shepherd mix in search of people to give all her love and snuggles to. She does really well with other pup playmates, gets along with our young dog and puppy well. She has not yet been around fluffy feline companions or young children while we’ve had her.

Tinsel loves to play with her foster siblings and was bit on the submissive side when first meeting them. The only sign of dominance was over a bone, so she enjoys those in her own space away from the other scavengers we have. Excellent at following commands and picks up new ones quickly!

Tinsel just as happy running after a toy as she is snoozing by your feet, and calms down quite quickly for how spirited she is. She is still a bit of a puppy and is working on learning her manners, which will need to continue in her forever home. We’ve mainly had to work on sitting and giving kisses being her response to wanting more pets instead of mouthing. Tinsel likes to stick with her people around the house and will remind you she’s near with snout nudges and powerful tail wags any time she’s noticed. Tinsel walks well on a leash and comes when called/kissed for. She had no issues in the car with us.

We only had a day with accidents in the house when Tinsel first was exploring, and she does go outside eagerly when she needs to. Shes also pretty quiet when going into the kennel (very treat motivated) but will do a few sorrowful moans if she thinks you’re still around the house after she’s shut in. She does stay in the kennel overnight without issue and stays quiet until let out in the morning, but I’m sure she’s be just as happy sleeping at the foot of the bed!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00
